Do panic buttons call the police?
Some panic buttons are programmed to call the police or emergency services directly, but others are linked to private security centres where trained professionals will assess the situation and react accordingly.
Panic buttons are small devices that can be placed somewhere in your home or carried around as a personal alarm. Pressing the button will send an alert either to your designated contacts, emergency services or to security personnel, depending on the model you choose.
Verisure alarm systems can be installed with an SOS panic button or a similar emergency alert device, available either as a portable remote or a discreet button placed around your home.
Both of these buttons are connected to a 24/7 Alarm Receiving Centre, which will receive an alert if you press them. From there, security professionals will use the other devices in your security systems (sensors, cameras, etc) to quickly assess the situation inside your home and dispatch a team of security guards or call the police if needed.
