How does the SOS Alarm work?

You can initiate an SOS alert using any of these methods:
- Pressing the Wall-Mounted Panic Button.
- Using the Smart Remote keyfob (pressing two buttons simultaneously to trigger SOS).
- Activating through the My Verisure Mobile App from anywhere.
- Immediate Connection to the ARC
- Regardless of the system’s armed state, your SOS signal is sent directly to the UK-based Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) and prioritised for rapid action.
- These signals are typically answered in under 20 seconds.
- Verification and Response
- Trained operators initiate Silent Listening Mode using devices such as the VoicePad and accessing camera snapshots if available to assess the situation.
- They may converse with you via two-way voice to clarify the emergency.
- Based on verification, they contact the appropriate emergency service (police, ambulance, fire brigade) or dispatch a private responder (e.g., guard response).
- Ongoing Support and Updates
- You and any pre-registered emergency contacts receive timely updates via the My Verisure app, SMS, or phone call.
- If direct contact isn't possible, the ARC will notify your nominated contacts and stay involved until the situation is resolved.

This is an excellent alarm system with many extras, we particularly like the SOS button facility. We now feel much more safe and secure, installation was very professionally done and they were very friendly and patient when explaining everything to us. No mess or anything to clean up I would definitely recommend this company.
