Verisure’s smoke detectors stay active around the clock — continuously monitoring the air for traces of smoke. This early detection helps identify danger long before flames spread.
When smoke is detected, the alarm sounds a powerful siren and issues a spoken voice alert to those inside the property - helping give you and your family time to react and reach safety.
If multiple alarms trigger or a fire is confirmed, the ARC responds by alerting the fire brigade — even if no one is home. Security experts can also speak directly to guide anyone inside until help arrives.
When the smoke alarm is triggered, it sends an alert to the ARC, which is on hand day and night to receive and respond to incidents. We respond within *45 seconds, on average.

Using connected smart cameras, Verisure’s trained security experts receive time-stamped images in real time when an alarm is triggered, allowing them to verify whether smoke or fire is actually present. This helps reduce false alarms while supporting a rapid, accurate response.
After our ARC has verified the alert, you’ll get an update call from one of our security experts to check you’re safe and let you know what’s happening next.
