DIY cameras require you to react when they send you a notification. Monitored cameras are connected to a professional receiving centre that verifies whether an alert is an emergency and takes action on your behalf. When your alarm goes off, Verisure will respond. Our experts validate whether there has been a false alarm. Then they take action: notifying emergency services, activating the ZeroVision smoke barrier and/or dispatching a private security guard depending on the nature of the alert. DIY cameras require you to be available at all times to respond when you get a notification.

No - some security cameras can be purchased as a standalone product with no ongoing cost. However, even basic security cameras often have a subscription for cloud storage of the images or video captured form the camera. All Verisure cameras will be part of your complete home alarm system, which always has a monthly subscription cost to power 24/7 monitoring, maintenance, cloud storage and remote camera viewing. Our system offers everything you need to secure your home in a single package. Don't end up with 5 different subscriptions to manage your security!
It depends on the type of camera you choose. Some lower-cost cameras do not have any audio capability. Verisure's cameras have microphones that allow them to record sound as well as video.
