A monitored alarm is an alarm system that is connected to a remote monitoring service where professionals receive the alerts from the alarm system, in addition to the alarm owner.
An unmonitored alarm is designed to alert the alarm owner. If you're not there to receive the alert, or you're not in a position to take action, the alarm can't do it for you!

Verisure monitored security systems are connected to our fully licensed Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) to guarantee an rapid response to any alarm event. If nobody is home, our security experts in the ARC can raise the alarm, alert key holders, initiate a guard response or contact the police on your behalf.
In the case of an emergency, the ARC can also request law enforcement, fire brigade or any other emergency services on your behalf. With security system monitoring, you can rely on the professionals to respond to alerts - even when you can't.
This alarm monitoring service will step in when the alarm is triggered, that could by by an intruder, or through someone triggering an SOS response, or through smoke and heat detected by our connected smoke detectors.

How Does the Verisure Monitoring Service Respond?
Notify You or Your Nominated Contacts
In the event of a verified trigger - we'll always notify you, or the additional contacts you've selected if we can't reach you so that you're kept up to date.
Call The Police
Once your monitored alarm has been triggered, if the ARC verify that some is there who shouldn't be, they notify the police on your behalf.
Send Private Security Guard
They can also send a private security guard to your property to verify the situation and provide support to re-secure a property.
Activate a Smoke Barrier
In case of a verified burglary or intrusion, ZeroVision smoke barrier can be used to rapidly reduce visibility in the property and help to drive the intruder out.
Call the Fire Brigade
In case of smoke detectors triggering in your property, the ARC will use multiple sensors to verify what's happening and call the fire brigade if there is a risk of a fire developing.

Monitored Alarm System Sensors Triggered
Motion detection and shock sensors are triggered by an intruder, sending an alarm signal to our Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC).
Monitoring Professionals Verify The Alarm
When your alarm is triggered, our security experts in the ARC will gain access to 3 still images from the GuardVision Photo Detector camera to verify the intrusion.
Take Action to Protect Your Property
If the images confirm a break-in, our security experts will activate the appropriate response protocol, notfiying keyholders, the police and/or dispatching a private security guard to your property if necessary.
If you have a ZeroVision alarm system, we can also deploy a smoke screen to deter intruders.
